Abstract

In order to further clarify the basic mechanical properties of all coral aggregate concrete (ACC), by combining the experiment with theoretical analysis to sort out the research status of the basic mechanical properties of ACC, the research group established a conversion model between axial compressive strength (fc), split tensile strength (fsp), flexural strength (ft) and cubic compressive strength (fcu) of ACC, defining the similarities and differences in mechanical properties of lightweight aggregate concrete (LAC), ordinary aggregate concrete (OAC), and so on. The results show that there is an obvious linear relationship between fc, fsp, ft and fcu of ACC; the growth law of fc with fcu of ACC is basically similar to that of OAC, but the growth rate is significantly lower than that of LAC; the growth rate of fsp with fcu of ACC is evidently greater than that of OAC, which is basically similar to that of LAC; the ft of ACC is obviously lower than that of OAC and rubber aggregate concrete (RAC). The research group suggests to improve mechanical properties of ACC by adding fibers, silica fume and refining the properties of coral aggregate.
